One of our amazing A Plus Tree crews removed a 75 ft tall, 50 inch DBH (Diameter at Breast Height), dying Redwood tree in the backyard of a residential home in SF. The San Francisco Art Institute was more than accommodating and let us use their parking lot for our staging and chipping area. We used a crane remove the huge pieces as each section was cut. The stump grinder was also transported by the crane to finish off the job perfectly.

The crew salvaged 4 beautiful pieces of the Redwood’s trunk, about 80% heartwood, and donated them to the school’s department of sculpture. The remaining limbs were chipped to be reused as mulch.
