When you water, use low flow and water in the early morning or late evening.
- Water until the upper 12" of soil are moist. This is where most absorbing tree roots are.
- Water over the entire root area if possible.
- Avoid wetting the trunk and leaves to prevent moisture-loving diseases.
- Water until soil is moist, and allow it to dry in between irrigations.
- Check irrigation systems regularly.
